Who can do this
Everyone can see ticket types. Only owners and admins add, edit or archive them.
Step 1: Open ticket types
Choose Ticket types in the menu. A new account starts with an empty list, so you only ever have the tickets you use.
Choose Pick common tickets to add from the ready-made list.

Under Start from your kind of work, choose the one closest to your firm, such as General building, Groundworks or Street works. It ticks a typical set of tickets.
Untick anything you don't need and tick anything else below. The list is grouped by area, from general construction, scaffolding, plant and lifting to street works, water, gas and power. Open an area to see its tickets: a shortcut opens the ones it ticks in.

Each ticked ticket shows its Name and Lasts (months) so you can change them first. How long a ticket lasts is only filled in where the issuing body fixes it for everyone. Where it varies, like CSCS cards, it's left blank and you type the expiry from each card. A few never expire, like IOSH Managing Safely, so there's nothing to fill in.
Then choose the button at the bottom, which counts what you've ticked, like Add 9 ticket types.
Not sure how long a ticket lasts? Most entries link to our guide for it.

Back on Ticket types, use Add a ticket type: give it a Name, and if you like a Category and Issuing body. Fill in Valid for (months) if it always lasts the same time, then choose Add ticket type.
Only tick This ticket never expires if the issuing body says so. Otherwise every ticket of that type needs an expiry date to count.
Once a ticket type has been used you can't delete it, only archive it. An archived type drops out of new tickets and out of every job role until you restore it.
